At The Study Stop, we believe every child has unique strengths
and needs. Our 1-1 Private Tutoring curriculum is developed to meet each child’s
specific needs and goals. This includes input from the student, the parents, and
the student’s current classroom teacher[s] (if available). Tutors will meet with
students at a location agreed upon and convenient to both the tutor and student.
During tutoring sessions, students receive immediate corrective
feedback, motivational praise, and encouragement. They are encouraged to ask questions
and share their feelings and thoughts about each session. Parent and tutor communication
is strongly encouraged. Parents will receive a monthly or bi-monthly progress report
with information on their child’s progress. There are no long term commitments.
